Welcome to the official website of the Yemeni Community in the Kingdom of the Netherlands
We bring together the Yemeni community in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, building bridges of connection, support and reliable information for a closer, stronger community.
About us
A community that brings us together… a homeland that lives in us
We believe that life far from home is better when there is something that brings us together. We work to strengthen connection and cooperation among Yemenis in the Netherlands, to offer the support and information that matter to them, and to open up spaces to meet, learn and take part, while preserving our Yemeni identity and culture for the generations to come.
Connection and solidarity
Strengthening the bonds between members of the community, encouraging cooperation and mutual support, and organising gatherings and occasions that bring people together.
Knowledge and awareness
Providing information and guidance that help members of the community understand their rights and duties, and find their way around the rules and services in the Netherlands.
Integration and identity
Supporting the integration of members of the community into Dutch society, while taking pride in our Yemeni identity, the Arabic language, our culture and our heritage.
Transparency and good governance
We are committed to organised and transparent work, to encouraging participation and free elections, and to respecting the privacy of members’ data and the independence of the community’s work.
