Accessibility statement

We aim for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at level AA.

• The website was designed in Arabic, from right to left, and is also available in English and Dutch, with clear fonts and text sizes that can be enlarged.
• Automated tests check the colour contrast and test the main pages against the same standard.
• The whole website can be used with a keyboard, with a clear focus outline and a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Every form field has a clear label, and error messages are read out to screen reader users.
• You can switch to night mode at the top of the page, and the website reduces motion if you ask for that in your device’s settings.
• The website works on phones and computers without any need to scroll sideways.

• The photos with news items and events are illustrations and have no text description, so screen readers skip them; their subject is in the title and text that go with them. If a photo contains important information, such as an announcement shown as an image, ask us for it as text through the contact form.
• In rare cases, the check that you are not an automated program (Cloudflare’s Turnstile service) may need an extra step, which some users may find difficult.
• We have tested the website with automated tools, but we have not yet carried out full testing with screen reader users. We welcome your feedback so that we can improve it.
